Founded in Florence in 1921, Gucci has become one of the most influential Italian fashion houses, recognized worldwide for its iconic heritage and cultural impact. From 2015 to 2021, Matteo Menotto worked as exclusive designer at Gucci, coordinating print design for Men’s Ready-to-Wear and accessories.
During this period, he contributed to the print development for the Gucci x The North Face capsule collections (2020–2021), translating themes of exploration and retro mountaineering into a distinctive visual language that merged Gucci’s heritage with The North Face’s outdoor legacy.

SPRING 2021 READY-TO-WEAR
The print development explored archival inspirations, vintage expedition graphics, nature-driven motifs, and bold color palettes, reinterpreted through Gucci’s contemporary aesthetic. The designs were conceived to enhance outerwear, ready-to-wear, and accessories, balancing technical references with expressive and decorative elements. The project required an integrated approach across concept research, graphic development, placement studies, and final artwork execution, ensuring coherence between storytelling, garment construction, and brand identity within a highly visible global launch.
